Supporting Line Input & I2S Input

The JAB5 4CH Audio Amplifier Board offers versatile input options to cater to different audio sources. Alongside Bluetooth input, the JAB5 supports 3.5mm line input and I2S input. These input methods provide flexibility in connecting various audio devices to the board.
When utilizing the Bluetooth, 3.5mm line, or I2S inputs, the signals are mixed together before being transmitted to the amplification circuit. This ensures a seamless integration of multiple audio inputs and allows for a consolidated audio output.
To make use of the 3.5mm line input, you can obtain the 3.5mm AUX-IN cable. Similarly, for the I2S input, the PH-6Pos cable is required. Both cables can be found in the Functional cables kit (AA-JA11117), providing you with the necessary accessories to connect your audio sources to the JAB5 board.
With the support for Bluetooth, 3.5mm line, and I2S inputs, the JAB5 ensures compatibility with a wide range of audio devices, making it a versatile choice for your audio projects.

Supporting Configuration as 4.0 / 2.1 / 2.0 / 0.2 Output Mode

The JAB5 4CH Audio Amplifier Board offers multiple output configurations, providing flexibility for various audio systems. It allows for different channel combinations, enabling you to configure the board based on your specific requirements.
The JAB5 can be set up in the following output modes:
4.0 Mode: In this mode, each of the four channels delivers 100W of power, resulting in a total power output of 4 x 100W.
2.1 Mode: The total power output in 2.1 mode is 2 x 100W + 1 x 200W.
2.0 / 0.2 Mode: In this configuration, two channels are combined to deliver 200W of power. This mode is suitable for setups that require a higher power output. Please note that for 0.2 mode, frequency adjustment using the PC UI is essential, in addition to hardware settings. It's important to note that 0.2 mode is not supported when using hardware control through the potentiometers.
To ensure ease of operation, WONDOM has implemented automatic cable insertion identification functionality. This feature simplifies the switching process between different output modes. All you need to do is plug in the cables as required, and the board will automatically recognize the configuration. The functions of the four external potentiometers will change accordingly, aligning with the selected output mode.
However, it's important to remember that when using JAB5 in 0.2 mode, frequency adjustment using the PC UI is necessary in addition to the hardware settings. This mode allows for optimal performance but requires software control for frequency adjustments.

Cascading with Another JAB5 to Build Audio 8.0 or other systems

In addition to speaker output, the JAB5 4CH Audio Amplifier Board also supports I2S signal output, allowing you to transmit the audio signal to another I2S amplifier board. This feature enables you to cascade multiple JAB5 boards and create larger audio systems according to your needs. For example, you can build an 8 x 100W system by connecting two JAB5 boards together using the I2S input and output ports.
To configure the cascade setup, the JAB5 board includes a switch that can be set to either master mode or slave mode. This setting determines the role of each board in the cascade configuration. It's important to ensure proper configuration to maintain synchronization and control between the boards.
To ensure easy control and consistent audio performance in the built audio system, Sure Electronics has included a synchronization port on the JAB5 board. This port ensures that the control logic of the two connected boards remains synchronized, enhancing the overall functionality and reliability of the system.

Signal Level Sensor System, Low Power Consumption

The JAB5 4CH Audio Amplifier Board incorporates a signal level sensor system that enhances power efficiency and extends playback time. This system continuously monitors the input signal and utilizes a preset signal voltage threshold.
When the sensor system detects that there is no signal present, meaning the voltage is lower than the threshold, for a period of 5 minutes, the amplifier module will automatically enter standby mode. In this mode, the power consumption is significantly reduced, optimizing energy efficiency and conserving battery life.
Once a signal is detected again, the amplifier module will promptly exit standby mode and resume operation without any interruption or loss of audio quality. This seamless transition ensures that the audio playback remains uninterrupted, delivering a smooth and uninterrupted listening experience.
By employing the signal level sensor system, the JAB5 achieves lower power consumption during periods of inactivity, resulting in longer playback time and improved energy efficiency. This feature is particularly beneficial in scenarios where the audio amplifier board is used in battery-powered applications or where power conservation is a priority.

Easy for Integration

The JAB5 4CH Audio Amplifier Board incorporates convenient features to enhance the user experience and provide control over Bluetooth connectivity and power management.
The board includes a Bluetooth pairing cancellation function that allows you to disconnect from a Bluetooth device with a simple press of a button. This feature eliminates the need to identify and select a specific Bluetooth device for disconnection. With this function, you can easily terminate the Bluetooth connection without any hassle.
Additionally, the JAB5 offers a standby function, allowing you to put the amplifier board into a low-power standby mode when not in active use. This standby mode helps conserve power and extend battery life, making it an ideal feature for energy-efficient operation.
To provide visual feedback and status indication, the JAB5 includes ports for External LED indicators.
